So, What Season Is It?

So, I'm in the midst of a Season of Renewing my Mind. I made it a Proper Noun because I think it's that important, and it makes it sound better than "navel gazing", which is what it feels like some times.

I am not a fan of introspection. I'm aware that when you bring light into a room that's been dark for a while, you're going to find a mess. My strong preference is to turn that light right back off, shut the door and move on down the hall. To the fridge.

Seeing some of my past actions, choices, decisions (all code for "character") as my Abba sees them has been disconcerting. Heartbreaking. Paralyzing. I AM sorry. I DO want to do better, follow more closely, press in. I want to take it all back. I want to erase the hurts I've caused. I want to heal it -- them -- me...

I'm not the healer. I'm the child.

"My food is doing the Will of my Father Who sent Me." Make me like You, Lord Jesus.

Hey there! I'm so glad you found my blog! I love finding a fellow Marilyn Howshall fan! I'm telling you, you are in for a treat with Wisdom's way of Learning. When I first got it it took a while to get through it....so much deep good stuff. I feel I am still a Major learner so just remember that with anything I share. I would love to share/answer whatever questions I can. I may even make a post on what our journey looks like at this point but I know you may have specifics so please ask. :) I would also LOVE to hear about your journey as well!

Hi! I found your blog through Heartsjoy and I've enjoyed reading through it. You have really been through a lot lately. I'm impressed at your sense of humor even admist such trying times.

Also, I'm a Marilyn Howshall fan as well. Anytime I start to panic about homeschooling, I just pull out one of her booklets and it calms me down. Barbara Edtl Shelton is also someone to check out because she follows the Lifestyle of Learning approach and offers many helps.

I got to Marilyn by way of Barb. When I had the bright idea of doing a minor renovation on our home school, I had no idea that it would include a complete personal overhaul. It seems like a lot sometimes, for sure, but I've always longed to traverse the narrow pathway. Thanks for the encouragement.

I had to laugh at your statement "I had no idea that it would include a complete personal overhaul." Man, do I know what you mean! I'm still being overhauled.
