What makes me happy, Day 2

Healthy children. Mine, of course, but healthy children in general make me very happy.

Because I'm a born-again, blood-bought child of God, I have to say that merely expressing my happiness seems a little smug. The truth is I'm grateful. SO grateful. On today's topic, specifically, I'm grateful for my four live children, two of whom have been very close to "going into the light." God saw fit to restore them to us for a time, and I'm awed and humbled that He would trust us so much.

I'm grateful for the children I will see again when I have graduated from this life into Paradise. I am incredibly, peacefully content to have half of my offspring grow up knowing Jesus in the first person. They will never have broken hearts or broken bones. They, unlike their mother, will not sin. They will never have broken fellowship, or misunderstandings or painful diagnoses. Their brother and sisters growing up here have to deal with the human failings of their earthly parents, while they bloom fully and unhindered in Heaven.

I too have children in heaven waiting for me. It's such a pleasant thought really.'

Thank you for your comment on my site. I will go to that link and read the stuff there. I'm always looking and asking and praying for more understanding and wisdom.

God never ceases to amaze me in the ways He works, and the results in our faith are awesome when we fully trust in Him.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog! I like the idea of precooking some of it before freezing. I do that with seasoned meat for pizza and tacos, too. And I love having new visitors! Come back any time!

I use the word honkin' down here in Texas, too. Hee hee!
